This bike rack is going to be a two bike style platform rack, and what's really cool about it is, it accommodates a lot of different style bikes. So a problem with platform-style racks is most of them have a hook that attaches to the frame right here to hold it in place. And sometimes that can be an issue when you have alternative style bikes that have really sharp down, or top tube right here also with women's bikes and even kids' bikes. Hey guys, Zack here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Helium 2-Bike Platform Bike Rack on our 2012 Audi A6. Right away one of the coolest things with this bike rack is the way that it holds the bike on. And that's with the two wheel mounts. So most platform racks are either going to have an arm that secures down onto the frame, or just a front wheel mount with a strap that goes around the back tire.So with this style, we don't have any contact with the frame, which is great for a carbon bike like this, but what's cool is it allows some adjustability. So you don't have any issues with your handlebars, maybe coming into contact with your seat or your pedals getting caught up in different parts of the bike. more
